Construction of Pokhara Intl Airport starts, to be completed by end of decade

POKHARA, Nov. 9: The construction of Pokhara International airport has started in Nepal’s Lake City Pokhara with an aim of completing the task by 2020.

The Chinese Construction Company China CMC engineering Company has got the tender to construct the airport.

“The company now has constructed the temporary building for the office, technicians and the laborers and the work of construction of airport will be expedited soon,” Administrative Officer Pramod Kumar Yadav informed.

As of now the work of blacktopping the road from the projects main gate to the airport, four canals to drain out the water to the Bijaypur River has been completed. The under construction airport is being done on 21 billion rupees loan assistance from the Chinese Axiam Bank.
