Construction of Sheraton Hotel at Thamel completed 35%

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: The Sheraton Hotel being built at Thamel under the investment of the President of Non-Resident Nepalese Association, Shesh Ghale, has been 35% completed. The construction is taking place with the aim of starting operation by mid-2019, informed MIT Group Holdings.
MIT Manager Suresh Chitrakar informed that the completion of the hotel construction was pushed back 1.5 years by earthquake and economic blockade, but the construction has been going smoothly at current time.
The hotel, situated at Kantipath near Kaiser Mahal, is being constructed over 14 ropanis of land and will feature guest rooms and suites. The hotel's initial investment, estimated at 8 billion rupees, was taken up to 13 billion due to delays.
The hotel will feature health club, swimming pool, fitness center, and a retail center. It will also have a assembly hall for special occasions with the capacity to accommodate 1000 people, making it the largest assembly hall in the city. It will also have a further 2 assembly halls, 3 meeting rooms, and a board room.
