Deluxe bus service started on Pokhara-Lumbini route

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: A new deluxe bus service is being started on the Pokhara-Lumbini route by Jagadamba Travels from Friday.

Owner of Jagadamba Travels,  Keshav Prasad Adhikari, said that two buses costing Rs. 7.5 million each are being started on the route. The service also provides meals to the passengers and has facilities akin to a business-class flight, said Adhikari. The buses have been fitted with 30 seats.

The one-way ticket for a Nepali passenger has been set at Rs. 2000 while for a foreign passenger, it has been set at Rs. 2,500. The buses also allow passengers to control the seat height using a remote control. They will also have a hostess to care for the passengers' needs.

Jagadamba Travels has been operating bus services on the Pokhara-Kathmandu and Pokhara-Chitwan route before this.
