Department of Immigration to close their service for 2 days during Dashain

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: The Department of Immigration will close the work of issuing trekking permits to the tourists going for trekking for two days during Dashain.

According to the department, the work of the department will continue even on public holidays starting from 12th October. The department has informed that the service will be closed on October 15 and 16. Foreign tourists can go trekking only with the permission of the Department of  Immigration. In particular, permission from the department is required to enter restricted areas. Now the tourist season has started in Nepal.

Entrepreneurs expect the government to ease the movement of vaccinated tourists and increase the number of tourists. Foreign tourists who have not been vaccinated abroad are required to come to Nepal with a visa from the Nepalese diplomatic mission in their home country.
