Department of Industry approves construction of 5 starred hotels within 8 months

KATHMANDU, Mar 28: The Department of Industry has given permission for the construction of 5 starred hotels across the country, to a total investment of Rs. 10 billion and 65 million. The permissions for the construction of these hotels were given within a period of 8 months.
Prabhakar Shumsher Rana is investing Rs. 5 billion and 417 million to construct a 60 bedroom hotel at Kalimati. The hotel will also feature a restaurant capable of accommodating 125 people.
Similarly, Gaurav Agrawal is investing 700 million for the construction of International Himalaya Hospitality and Hotel Pvt. Ltd., which will have 50 bedrooms and a restaurant that can serve 75 people.
Prabhu Management Pvt. Ltd. has also gained permission for construction. The company is building Himalaya Hotel and Suites at the cost of Rs. 1 billion 288 million and 650 thousand, which will have 40 bedrooms and a 50-seat restaurant.
CG Hospitality Holdings Pvt. Ltd. is also constructing R&R Hotel and Resorts on a budget of 1 billion 50 million rupees. The hotel will have 144 bedrooms and a restaurant with 300-seat capacity.
Tilottama, Rupandehi is also seeing construction of a starred hotel with the budget of 1.6 billion. Lumbini Amusement and Water Park will have 50 bedrooms and a 100-seat restaurant. The establishment will also feature an amusement park capable of hosting 1100 people.
