KATHMANDU Jan 11:  Domestic airline companies have slashed the airfare on different routes following the recent reduction in price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). The new airfare will come into effect from Sunday, AOAN Spokesperson Ghanashyam Aacharya said.

Nepal Oil Corporation Thursday reduced the price of aviation fuel sold to domestic airlines by Rs10 per litre to Rs94.50 per litre.

Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), an umbrella organization of the private airlines companies, held on Friday took a decision to reduce Rs 90 to Rs 440 per ticket.

With the new airfare, a passenger will have to pay Rs 3,210 to travel from Kathmandu to Simara and Rs 12,650  from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi.
