Domestic airlines ready to start Karnali-Surkhet flights

KATHMANDU, Mar 22: Domestic airline companies are ready to start direct flight from Karnali-Surkhet. Preparations for direct flight between Karnali and Surkhet will be operated within two weeks.

Airline companies have also been showing positive response to conduct flights to Surkhet, which was discontinued since the time of Indian blockade. In a discussion between the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, Karnali state Chief Minister and state ministers regarding tourism development in Karnali region, it was agreed to conduct flight to Karnali to aid tourism boost in the location.

Air service providers have decided to make regular flights after discussions with the Aviation Minister. The ministry has also committed to provide assistance for regular flights. A regular flight to Surkhet will play great role in development of Karnali region. Authorities say increase in tourism will help air traffic together.
