KATHMANDU, April 30: Amid the lockdown, the number of flights has dropped by more than half. According to General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Pratap Babu Tiwari, there are 77 domestic and international flights scheduled for Friday.
Earlier, a total of 149 flights had landed on Wednesday, the day before the lockdown began. This is the highest number since the Corona epidemic began. On this day, 15 thousand 263 passengers had traveled through Tribhuvan Airport. A total of 104 flights were flown on Thursday, the day the ban began.
A total of 8269 passengers were traveling through Tribhuvan International Airport. According to TIA data, there was a sharp decline in flights on Friday. It has been found that the number of air passengers has also decreased due to the ban and travel obstruction issued in various districts.
Buddha Air is flying 35 flights on Friday. It has been decided that there will be 20 flights of Yeti Airlines, 12 flights of Shree Airlines, 4/4 flights of Nepal Airlines and Tara Air and two flights of Summit Air.
