KATHMANDU, June 22: All domestic flights will resume after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. In a meeting held at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Tuesday night, the Association of Airlines Operators (AON) has agreed to operate flights after 11 am on Wednesday.

Airlines operators warned on Tuesday that all domestic flights would be shut down from Wednesday in defiance of the Civil Aviation Authority's base management directive. Responding to this, the CAAN had issued an arrest warrant to the pilots who had stopped the flight saying that the air service was urgent and warned to revoke the Air Operating Permit (AOP).

However, the airline operators' association and CAAN officials have been able to find a way out by holding talks at 10 pm on Tuesday. The decision was taken at a one-hour meeting.

A senior CAAN official said that the airline operators' association had agreed to resume operations from Wednesday after the CAAN issued a warning.

"As soon as we issued the warning in the evening, the representatives of the airlines came for talks. It has been agreed that the flight will not be canceled tomorrow, 'said the official.

According to a member of the airline operators' association, regular flights will resume after 11 a.m. as the airlines have stopped booking tickets till tomorrow morning.

"The Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Home Affairs have taken the initiative in meeting our demands. There will be regular flights from 11:00 am tomorrow. The conclusion is yet to come. We will hold talks with the authority again on Wednesday afternoon, 'said the member.
