Edvinas Ruzgas crowned as champion of Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup 2018 Amateur Series

KATHMANDU, Nov 04: Edvinas Ruzgas was crowned as the Champion of the 2018 Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Amateur Series held at Belek, Antalya, Turkey between October 27th and November 4th.
The Grand Final, which featured 100 players from 63 countries around the world was hosted by the Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek and played at the Titanic Golf Club. Contestants were mostly winners from the 100 Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup qualifying events. Qualifying events took place from February to October in 100 Turkish Airlines destinations across 63 countries and 5 continents giving Turkish Airlines Corporate Club members and partners a high-level networking opportunity while taking on some of the most prestigious golf courses in the world.
Edvinas Ruzgas, after two days of competition, came out on top with a two-round total of 88 points ahead of Mehmet Dengiz from Paris, closely followed by Yuki Yanai from Tokyo and Mehmet Ziylan from Istanbul. The leading gross winner of the tournament, Gustav Schauman from Stockholm, played some spectacular golf and won the trophy with a total score of 5 over par for his two rounds. Nearest the pin awards were presented to Oleg Golod from Kyiv and Yeunkyung Kimfrom Seoul.

The winner went on to progress to the Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am the following day to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Lee Westwood.
