"Employees who do not perform well will be removed humbly," Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, June 28: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the employees who do not perform well will be humbly removed. Addressing a meeting of the SMT (Senior Management Team) under the ministry held today, Minister Bhattarai said that the ministry is still 'proactive' in its work.

Minister Bhattarai said, "I have already given prior notice. From the beginning we are still 'proactive' at work. Employees who don't do a good job are fired. Recalling the practice of signing performance agreements with the Prime Minister and the Secretary, Minister Bhattarai said, "You should also sign performance agreements with the Secretary." According to the agreement, reward and action should be taken without any prejudice depending on whether the work has been done or not.

In the meeting, Minister Bhattarai also said that the work of each division will be reported every week. He also instructed the concerned Heads of Departments / Bodies to prepare the protocol for the operation of all the airports after COVID-19 and to implement and monitor the protocol issued for the operation of hotel and restaurant business.
