Entirely “Organic and Hygienic” Resort Construction underway in Myagdi, Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sep 08: An youth entrepreneur in Myagdi, Raghugangga Rural Municipality-3 has initiated the construction of first ever resort in the district accommodated with swimming pool.
39 year old Hari Bahadur Chand has initiated to establish the resort named "Kaligandaki Resort" in Ghumaune Taal in Beni- Jomsom road section of Western Nepal..
The resort which will have an area of about 30 Ropanis has an initial investment of 10.5 millions rupees and now the construction work is undergoing.
“The construction of rooms for guests, Garden, Parking, Swimming Pool is underway. Previously, it was an restaurant and am adding added more facilities with an aim to provide best service amongst others in the whole district and it will come to operation very soon,” he said.
The restaurant will serve the organic and hygienic cuisines as well as a showcase of Nepali culture through the traditional Nepali song play known as “Dohori” once in a month.
The hotel will be attracting the travelers travelling in between Beni- Jomsom who will be local as well as International travelers and the additional facility for them will be the swimming pool which as of now none of the hotels in the district has.
To give the service of organic and hygienic food the hotel also has started its own farm which has cocks, ducks and fishing, Chand informed.
Now the construction of three ponds for the fishing is ready and the pond has 12 thousand small fishes and 40 thousand are on its way for the delivery.
In addition, the farm now has 2 hundred cocks and is planning for 3 hundred ducks to add to the family.
Chand, who spent four years in Korea have returned to Nepal and is taking the initiation to operate a resort and is implementing his knowledge over preparing duck items which he learned there.
“Right now the expansion of the resort is going on. Upon its completion it will have the capacity of holding 40 to 50 people, minimum range. It also will be accommodated with the facility of Meeting Hall and Party Palace,” Chand informed.
The resort is said to come into operation within two weeks and will provide employment to 10 people initially.
