“First Ever” Five Star rated resort outside Nepali capital comes into operation

KATHMANDU, Dec 01 : The first ever five star rated resort, The Tiger Palace Resort established on foreign investment in Nepal has entered the phase of operation.
The resort established in Rupandehi’s Tilottama Municipality-17, Kotihawa has an initial capital of 5.20 billion rupees investment (500.20 million US Dollars).
Nepal’s Tourism Department under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has awarded the resort with the certificate stating “Five Star” rated.
The resort which has the investment of 5.20 billion rupees investment of Australia’s Multi National Company, the Silver Heritage had its soft opening Wednesday only.
In its initial phase the resort has offered One hundred rooms open for booking and will add additional Three Hundred rooms in its second phase which will be deluxe.
With the start of the resort about 3 Hundred people have got employment with 50 foreigners who will work as Manager of the resort.
After the completion of the resort the number of workers in the resort will rise to 1 Thousand 8 Hundred out of which majority will be the locals.
