Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyawali meets Foreign Minister of European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Foreign Minister of European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn, while visiting Nepal, met at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday. Jean Asselborn arrived in Nepal on Wednesday morning for a two-day formal visit.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, Nepal praised the role of Luxembourg for its cooperation in various ways, including with the European Union. Minister Gyawali highlighted the importance of increasing financial support in the coming days, including in the areas of trade, investment, tourism and technology transfer.

Luxembourg also praised Nepal's political achievement, saying they are ready to cooperate in various forums with similar interests. The two ministers exchanged views on regional and global issues, including climate change, connectivity and migrant workers, and they have agreed to work together on a common agenda.

Minister Gyawali also organized a feast on Wednesday to welcome the visiting delegation. Minister Gyawali also attended the foreign program organized by Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Nepal-India diplomatic relations on Wednesday evening. A delegation including Luxembourg's Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.
