Foundation stone laid for the establishment of new paper industry in Nepal

MAHOTTARI, July 26: A foundation stone has been laid today for the establishment of a new paper industry at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion in Gaushala Municipality-1, Ramnagar, Mahottari. Today, Chairman of IME Group and entrepreneur Chandra Prasad Dhakal and other industrialists laid the foundation stone of Nepal Pulse and Paper Industries.
Chairman Dhakal, Janakpurdham's Sarraf Group, industrialist Sunil Gopal Shrestha, Homnath Gyawali and others have invested in the industry. They jointly laid the foundation stone of the industry today. It is stated that the production work will be started by completing the work of connecting all the equipments and devices required by the industry within a year.
It was also informed that the industry will have the capacity to produce 75 tons of paper daily. It is said that at least 100 people will get immediate employment as soon as the industry comes into operation. At the ceremony, entrepreneur Dhakal informed that production would start in a year after the construction of the factory building. He said that the import of paper from Nepal will be replaced by this factory which will be operated with the involvement of senior and experienced businessmen working in the field of paper production in Nepal.
This is the first time that such an industry giving 'Phoenix Product' is being established in Nepal. This is expected to replace the paper imports that have taken place in Nepal so far. The people of Ramnagar are enthusiastic about the establishment of new industries in their place. Everest Sugar and Chemical Industries are already operating in Ramnagar.
