Their remarks come in the wake of delivery of second pair of endangered rhino to China on Friday night. Amid a ceremony organized in the premise of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepali Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet handed over the essential documents to Chinese embassy officials in Nepal.
The baby rhinos named as 'Soaltee' and 'Mitini' embarked on the journey to their new home through a special Chinese cargo aircraft of Uni-top Airlines.

Nepali experts believe that the latest move has bolstered the age-old bilateral ties between two neighbors.
Tanka Karki, former Nepali ambassador to China, told Xinhua, "Gifting of rhinos by Nepal to China is a symbol of profound friendly relationship between the two neighbors for ages. This is a positive move."

Mentioning that sending rhinos to other countries as gifts is an established diplomatic tradition, Karki said that such step will greatly contribute in enhancing people-to-people relationship between any two countries.
