Global IME bank issues Global Ecom Dollar card for purchase of goods from abroad

KATHMANDU, March 25: Global IME Bank Limited has issued 'Global Ecom Dollar Card'. Global IME Bank Limited has issued such dollar card as per the provision of issuing convertible foreign currency prepaid card brought by Nepal Rastra Bank for the purpose of paying for purchase of goods and services from abroad through online.

The dollar card issued by the bank will enable online shopping outside of India and online services such as Netflix recharge, payment of educational fees and promotion of business through social media including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp.

Customers will be able to open a bank account by submitting their citizenship and PAN card and avail this facility by paying a service fee of Rs. 500. In addition, the card can be used to pay for goods from home and office without going to any bank and to get other services and facilities done online. 

The bank has been benefiting the customers by bringing such schemes keeping in view the convenience of its customers. Global IME Bank aims to provide access to banking services to all regions and classes across the country and abroad, including 270 branches, 242 ATMs, 256 branchless banking services, 47 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in all 7 states and 76 districts. It is providing services to more than 2.2 million customers from about 800 service centers.

Similarly, the Bank is making significant contribution to the economy of the country by receiving remittances from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, Hong Kong and other countries.
