Global IME Bank launches 2 new branchless banking services

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Global IME Bank has launched new branchless banking services in Rajapur Bazaar of Bardiya and Lekhani of Baglung. With the launch of these branchless banking services, the number of branchless banking services of the bank has reached 241.

Bank of Bardia District Rajapur Municipality Ward no. 4, Inauguration of Branchless Banking Service opened in Rajapur Bazaar, Rajapur Municipality Ward no. 4 ward president Raman Kumar Regmi and chamber of commerce Rajapur Bardiya president Krishna Kumar Regmi jointly. Poudel Traders has been appointed as the institutional representative of the branchless banking service.
Similarly, Baglung district in Kathekhola village municipality ward no. 8. The branchless banking service opened in Lekhani was inaugurated by Yuvraj Rajbhandari, Chairman of Baglung Chamber of Commerce. Yoganath Kandel has been appointed as the representative of the branchless banking service.

From the branchless banking service, locals in various rural areas of the country will be able to avail banking services through local representatives. From this, they will be able to open a deposit account, deposit and withdraw money up to a specified limit, get information about the balance in their account, pay interest on the loan, pay the tariff.

Global IME Bank has launched branchless banking services in these areas to alleviate the compulsion of the residents of these areas, where agriculture, remittances and tourism are the main sources of income, to travel far and wide to avail banking services.
