Goma Air's aircraft crashes in Lukla

SOLUKHUMBU, May 27: A cargo plane of Goma Air crashed upon touchdown near Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla today.
Pilot Paras Kumar Rai, co-pilot Srijan Manandhar and airhostess Pragya Maharjan were injured in the crash, said Madhav Budhathoki, Chief the Solukhumbu District Police Office.
The plane (9N-AKY) suffered some technical problems after it touched branches of a tree while making a landing and crashed around 200 meters below the runway, Budhathoki said, adding that all the injured were rescued. RSS
