Gorkha Airlines to make loud come back in Nepali Aviation Sector

KATHMANDU, March 17 : The twenty century established Gorkha Airlines is set to make a loud comeback in Nepal. The aviation company is set to start its operation again with the introduction iof Embraer Regional Je (ERJ- 145), a very new aircraft.

Gorkha Airlines previously entered the Nepali Aviation sector back on 1996 with two Mil Mi-17 helicopters and moved to start flight operation with fixed-wing aircraft but failed to sustain and was closed from 2012.

Gorkha Airlines has been working hardly on its documentation process at Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The company is anticipated to have a press meet on the mid of April after the completion of the documentation processing.

Fastening its belt to come into the Nepali market the Gorkha Airlines already has signed the Joint venture agreement with Captain Sikander Rizvi MD of Vigo Air Ltd, India aand will come to operation on March 12, 2017.

The airline aims to re-operate its flight operation with two ERJ-145 and Dornier DO-228 aircraft each. The airline has also reported that it will start the recruitment process of Pilots and Engineering team soon after the completion of its first press release on mid of April.
