Government planning to make call for LOI for Nijgadh airport project

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: The government is preparing to call for the Letter of Intent (LOI) for developing the modality for the Nijgadh International Airport.
The decision to make the call for LOI for the Nijgadh International Airport was made after a discussion between Finance Minister Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwoda, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, and the Secretary of the ministries, the National Planning Commission, the Investment Board, and ministry representatives.
Joint Secretary of the Tourism Ministry, Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane, said that discussions are taking place for the LOI while a final decision is yet to be made. The Environment Impact Assessment for the airport project has already been approved.
