Government plans to add 5 new 5 star hotels every year

KATHMANDU, March 3 : The government of Nepal has planned to open 5 new 5 star hotels every year inside the country. The government will continue this project for 5 years resulting in the addition of 25 new 5 star hotels inside the country.

Nepal's Culture and Civil Aviation Minister Jiwan Bahadur Shahi made the announcement in ongoing Nepal Investment Summit being held in capital Kathmandu. All these hotels will be opened in active participation of private sector with the initiation of government.

In order to promote the tourism in other districts apart from Kathmandu and Pokhara the government is set to give hefty tax discount to the private sector that comes with the proposal to establish hotels in remote areas. Nepal at present only have 10 five star hotels.
