Government starts rescuing tourists trapped in various parts of country

KATHMANDU, March 26: The government is going to rescue the tourists who are stuck in various parts of the country due to lockdown. The High Level Coordination Committee on Corona Prevention has decided to ease tourists by rescuing them and sending them back to their own country.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, there are remaining 10,000 tourists who have to return to their country. "We are rescuing from today," said Ghanshyam Upadhyay, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation."We bring them to Kathmandu with the help of domestic airplanes," he added.

He informed that the tourists brought to Kathmandu would be kept in quarantine at the hotel. Tourists should be kept at a hotel near the airport in the quarantine area until the plane of their respective country arrives.
