Govt appoints captain Deepu Jwarchan as general manager of NAC

KATHMANDU,  June 23: The government has assigned senior captain Deepu Jwarchan to lead Nepal Airlines in the absence of both the posts of executive chairman and general manager.

According to Hemant Regmi, personal secretary to Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Ale, Jwarchan has been given a temporary responsibility to act as general manager.

The appointment letter given to Jwarchan by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation said, "According to Article 12 of the Nepal Airlines Corporation 2019, you have been requested to act as the General Manager of the Nepal Airlines Corporation."

He has been temporarily appointed as the General Manager by the Council of Ministers to lead the organization while the leadership of Nepal Airlines is vacant. Even when he was in the lead, he was able to work as a pilot. The post was vacant after the government suspended Yuvaraj Adhikari.
