HAN delegation visits Minister of Tourism and Minister of Labour

KATHMANDU, Mar 22: A delegation from the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) led by President Amar Man Shakya has separately visited the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari and the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista.
HAN President Amar Man Shakya presented the ministers with a memorandum while expressing hope that the newly formed government will work together to develop the country. The memorandum requested to put the improvement of the Tribhuvan International Airport as a priority and speed up the development of new international airports at Bhairahawa and Pokhara.
The delegation urged to develop the chief infrastructures for tourism development including airports, roads, and transportation. As the state level formation is drawing to a close, the delegation drew the ministers’ attention to the high level of potential in all seven states and requested that laws and systems to encourage the private sector should be developed for the development of tourism in all states.
Similarly, the memorandum also mentioned the need for developing various tourism products that Nepal is well-known for, including the prospects of religious tourism and the promotion of Nepal’s natural beauty and trekking. The delegation noted a strong possibility to drastically increase the number of tourists in Nepal within the next 3 years if the infrastructure is developed accordingly.
The ministers responded favorably towards the suggestions from the delegation and stated that the ministry will move forward by developing plans in a systematic ways.
