HAN Urged Former PM KP Sharma Oli For Economic Revolution

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: A delegation of hoteliers led by Mr. Amar Man Sakya, the president of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) called on CPN (UML) President and former Prime Minister Mr. KP Sharma Oli on Monday and urged him to lead the long due economic revolution in Nepal.

The delegation appraised him on the current scenario and future of tourism in the new context. Mr. Sakya congratulate the former Prime Minister for the historic achievement in the recent elections of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly and reiterated the optimism of tourism and hotel community of sustainable political stability and socio-economic prosperity through stable government at central as well as at provincial levels in the days to come. Mr. Sakya also expressed a strong commitment that for tourism and economic development of Nepal, the entire hotel industry is ready to work together with the new governments.
Mr. Yogendra Sakay, former president of HAN and coordinator of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 highlighted the importance of conducive and peaceful working environment in tourism and hotel sector. He reiterated that in tourism, and especially in the hotel industry there must be cordial and productive relations between the employers and employee and urged Mr. Oli to place a high priority on better work environment and industrial relations. Mrs. Shreejana Rana, 1st Vice-president of HAN explained that hotels need huge investment and requested Mr. Oli for promotion and security of investment on hotel industry. She also urged the leader to work for the benefits of both the employers and employees.
The former Prime Minister responded the hotel entrepreneurs that economic development is his first priority and assured them to invest more in tourism and invite more and more international tourists to Nepal.
