KATHMANDU, April 19: The 'Hanuman Chalisa', a book of hymns in praise of the Hanuman, has now been rendered in English as well.

Hanuman is the Hindu monkey god who is depicted as a die-hard devotee of Lord Rama in the Ramayana mythology. Hanuman also epitomises bravery, audaciousness and honesty.

Maheshwar Khanal has translated the book of verses, Hanuman Chalisa, into English, Nepali and the rustic Nepali languages from the original Sanskrit.

It is believed that reading the Hanuman Chalisa verses produces positive vibe and keeps the reader fresh throughout the day.

Khanal said that he translated the Hanuman Chalisa into Nepali folk tongue and English in an effort to simplify and internationalize it respectively.

The 56-page booklet is published by Sajita Parajuli.
