Helicopter Society and CAAN discusses about the air safety

KATHMANDU, Oct 26: A joint meeting was organized between Helicopter Society of Nepal and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to discuss about the air safety of the nation. Helicopter Society of Nepal is the organized formed by the various helicopter organizations.  The authority has informed that the meeting was organized to discuss about the current status of the aviation and its safety.

Helicopter Society of Nepal was formed in the leadership of Captain Rameshwor Thapa. The organization was formed to meet the international standard of air safety. The helicopter society has urged Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to remove the old planes from the helipad of Tribhuwan International Airport.

General Secretary of the society, Yog Raj Kandel informed the CAAN about the problems in the management of the helicopter business.” We discussed on various issues to resolve the problems and in coming days we will be working hand in hand with CAAN to make the management of the companies more stronger and stable”, he added. CAAN is also planning to construct a heliport terminal in Lukla after Tihar.
