Himalaya Airlines brings Festive Service introducing direct flight to Saudi

KATHMANDU, August 15 : Nepal- China joint venture aviation service provider Himalaya Airlines has announced daily service to Dammam, Saudi Arabia starting from 1st of September this year as gift to the passengers.

Dammam is one of the most sought destination of Nepali’s for foreign employment and currently approximately 500,000 Nepalese laborers, skilled and semi-skilled working there. “Commencement of daily direct flight by Himalaya Airlines is definitely going to ease the travel for thousands of Nepalese who have been paying hefty ticket prices as well as spending more travel time while commuting between Saudi Arabia & Kathmandu,” the airlines claimed in a statement.

The company is in plan to operate one flight every day, flight H9 559 of Himalayan Airlines, will depart from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu at 22:30 hours (Local Time) and will reach King Fadh International Airport, Dammam at 00:50 hours (Local Time) the next day.

The return flight H9 560 will depart from Fadh International Airport, Dammam at 01:50 hours (Local Time) and will arrive in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu at 09:15 hours (Local Time).

“We are always looking forward to provide our passengers with the most convenient and time-efficient way of air travel. Considering the hours of hassle Nepalese have been facing while traveling to Saudi Arabia, we believe the launch of this direct flight will definitely achieve our objective. The launch of daily direct flight to Dammam is Himalaya Airlines’ special Festival gift, to all our valuable passengers. As we move forward, our goal will always be to offer most direct routes to our countrymen at cost effective fares with warm Nepalese hospitality onboard,” Himalaya Airlines Vice President - Administration, Mr. Vijay Shrestha said in an statement.

The airfare offered by the airline for Kathmandu - Dammam starts from NPR 23,800 (one way) and NPR 38,000 (round trip). Similarly, for the route Dammam - Kathmandu, the airfare starts from SAR 850 (one way) and SAR 1,360 (round trip) excluding applicable taxes. The Free Baggage Allowance for both the routes is 40 Kg for Business Class and 30 Kg for Economy Class.

The airline has appointed Asfar Travel and Tourism as its General Sales Agents (GSA), who will represent the airline in Saudi Arabia and will be responsible for the airline’s sales and marketing, market development, reservations and ticketing services.
