Himalaya Airlines starts Dubai flight from April 28

KATHMANDU, April 6: Himalaya Airlines is starting  direct flight  from Kathmandu to Dubai from April 28, 2017.

Himalaya Airline’s new passenger route service, complementing the airlines’ existing sectors: Doha, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur and Yangon.

With the launch of daily service, the airline will operate its one of the three Airbus 320-214 on the route, offering 8 Business class and 150 Economy class seats for travellers on a regular basis.

The Flight H9 557 will depart from Kathmandu at 10:40 local time, arriving in Dubai at 13:25 hrs. The return flight H9558 will depart Dubai at 14:25 local time, arriving in Kathmandu at 20:20 hrs.

With its above average “On Time Performance” (OTP) record, the airline aims at ensuring a high level of reliability and punctuality to its passengers.

 “Dubai is one of the most exciting destinations for leisure and business travel and we feel privileged to offer greater competitive choice for our passengers”  Mr. Vijay Shrestha, Vice President- Administration said .

Similarly the launching airfare for Kathmandu – Dubai - Kathmandu starts from NPR 24,827  (round trip) and for Dubai-Kathmandu-Dubai. flight starts from AED 350.00 (round trip).

Governmental taxes will be extra,” the statement from Airlines said.

The airline has appointed Fishtail Travel and Tourism LLC, Dubai as its General Sales Agents (GSA) for passenger in United Arab of Emirates.

Who will be responsible for the airline’s sales and marketing, market development, reservations and ticketing services representing the airline in Dubai.

Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal- China joint venture, is fast growing private airlines of Nepal. Established in August 2014.

The airlines plans to add a number of exciting new destinations to its growing network within 2017, including  Dammam, Hong Kong, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangkok, Beijing, Lhasa and Chengdu flying passengers on board its new aircrafts.

The Airline currently has 3 Airbus 320-214 series of narrow-body aircrafts in its fleet with two seat configurations that can respectively hold 8 & 150 passengers in its Business and Economy seats.

The carrier received its first new Airbus on March 9, 2016, second Airbus on January 31, 2017 and third new airbus on March 31, 2017.

Over the coming five years, the airline has a target of acquiring 15 aircrafts to connect Kathmandu with various new destinations in Asia and beyond.

The Airlines will also introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America.
