Homestay started in Tamang community of Lamjung

BESISAHAR Jan 23 : Tamang home stay has started in Tamang village- Bhumse, Bhul Bhule VDC in Lamjung district.
“To promote the Tamang culture and natural beauty homestay has been started” Hom Raj Tamang, Chairman of the homestay organizing Committee said. “To back those villagers who immigrated from this village and to protect endangered culture we started the homestay here," he added.
The locals has started the homestay initially in 3 houses and have planned to extend it to other 10 households out of the 55 households in the Bhumse VDC. But the initial households also has the capacity to serve 30 guests at a time.
The members of family where the facility of homestay is launched are provided with training to organize homestay. Necessary infrastructure for homestay are built in the home of Hom Raj Tamang, Narayan Tamang and Dhan Singh Tamang. Bhumse is also popular for potato production and the locals here also are attracted towards cardamom farming.
Traditional typical Nepali food like millet Dhindo, Masyangko Dal, Ban Tarul, Shisnu Ko Khole, local chicken, buckwheat dishes are being served. Traditional dances Tamang Selo, Damfu Nach, Mehendo Maya Nach. Mane Nach, Tamba Nach will be shown to entertain guests.
