Hotel Taj starts operation at Palpa

KATHMANDU, Feb 11: The Hotel Taj which was built in Palpa with an investment of Rs. 160 million has finally started operation. The hotel was constructed with both domestic as well as foreign tourists as potential customers. The hotel is the first hotel in the district with a lift system and is being operated by youth entrepreneur Madhav J.C.
The hotel is situated besides Tansen's Tundikhel in Palpa. It has been opened with the aim of servicing both domestic and foreign tourists 24 hours a day, said G.C. The hotel offers lodging with good facilities at a place where a well-facilitated hotel was lacking for tourists. It has provided employment to 50 people and has 15 rooms including deluxe rooms, honeymoon suites, etc.
The hotel was inaugurated by the CEO of Resunga Development Bank, Prakash Paudel. Paudel expressed hope that the hotel will aid in the district's economic growth.
Manager of Taj Hotel, Devendra Khadka, said that the hotel was established to make use of the small but viable tourism business opportunity in the Tansen area. The hotel offers view of Palpa's famous Ranimahal Palace, popular food dishes of Palpa, and local as well as international food items.
