Hotels are important for tourism development: Minister Adhikari

KATHMANDU, May 31: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, has stressed on the need for establishing hotels that provide quality services and facilities, to boost the development of tourism sector in the country.
Acknowledging the huge contribution of tourism sector in the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the minister said investment made in the sector would have multi-dynamic effects.
Nepali Ghar’s managing director Raju Shrestha said, the hotel which was built in four years’ time would provide facilities in par with five-star hotels. He spoke of his aim of advancing Nepali art and cultural identity through the hotel business.
The hotel’s exterior architecture and interior designs are of traditional Nepali style.
Inaugurating a hotel ‘Nepali Ghar’ at the tourists hub, Thamel on Wednesday, Minister Adhikari urged the hotel entrepreneurs to provide high-end facilities to their guests and make them aware of the Nepali lifestyle and traditions.
