Hotels, restaurants asked to close their service from 8:00 pm today

CHITWAN, May 13: The District Police Office, Chitwan, has made a public appeal all hotels, restaurants and dohari restaurants proprietors in the district to close down their service from 8:00 pm today to 6:00 am tomorrow in view of local-level election taking place on Sunday, May 14.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Deepak Shrestha, today informed that such appeal was made so as to avoid hooliganism and to curb untoward activities affecting public security as well as to hold the election in free and fearless manner.

Saying law and order has been tightened in the district, Superintendent of Police Deepak Thapa said that more than 5,000 security personnel have been deployed in the district for the same.
