KATHMANDU, Aug 09: The International Association of Hotel Management Schools (EUHOFA) will be conducting its 51st international conference in Nepal. The event will take place from November 26 to 30 in Nepal.

The conference is being held in Nepal on the occasion of the 126th anniversary of the first hotel management school in the world, EHL in Lujan, Switzerland. The event will have the attendance of more than 200 deans and upper management personnel from hotel management and tourism-related teaching institutions around the world, informed EUHOFA Board Member Khem Lakain.

EUHOFA President Dr. Maria Weisinger discusses with the Chiefs of Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE College), International School of Tourism and Hotel Management (IST), the Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Nepal Academy and Hotel Management, Silver Mountain School of Hotel Managements, and Golden Gate about preparations to the conference.

The meeting agreed that it was an unprecedented opportunity for the world's foremost hotel management educators to gather in Nepal ahead of the government's Visit Nepal 2020 Year. A number of hotel management schools are expected to become members of EUHOFA during the conference.

The program will also have the attendance of tourism associations like the Nepal Tourism Board, Hotel Association of Nepal, and PATA.
