Israeli national dies in Jeep accident in Nepal

LAMJUNG, Oct 09 : An Israeli tourist  was killed when a jeep carrying tourists met with an accident at Nasong rural municipality in Manang on Sunday evening.

Other nine tourists including two Nepalis were hurt in the accident, police said. The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Abiyajar Berid. Berid breathed her last on the way to Besishahar for treatment, Deputy Superintendent of Police Padam Bahadur Bista said.
The ill-fated vehicle (Ga 1 Ja 6034) with altogether 12 passengers onboard including the driver was heading to Manang from the district headquarters Besishahar when the accident occurred.
Of the injured, one was being treatment at Lamjung District Hospital, while preparations were underway to airlift others to Kathmandu, said Bista.
