Jazeera Airways to regular flights at GBIA from June 12

KATHMANDU, May 12: Jazeera Airways, which has taken permission for regular flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, will operate regular flights only from 12 June 2022 (29 Jestha). However, Jazeera will also inaugurate the inaugural flight on May 16, 2022, the day the government has scheduled the inauguration.

According to the schedule made public by Jazeera Airways, which currently operates one flight daily in Kathmandu, the flight to Bhairahawa will depart from Doha, Qatar for Kuwait. Passengers who want to come directly to Bhairahawa from Qatar can also avail the service on this flight. They will transit to Kuwait and fly directly to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.

The plane will depart from Doha at 6:20 a.m. local time on 16 May and will land in Kuwait at 7:45 a.m. local time. The plane will transit to Kuwait for 4 hours and fly to Gautam Buddha International Airport at 23:45 local time. The plane is scheduled to land at Gautam Buddha Airport at 7 am local time in Nepal.

Regular flights will start from 29 Jestha (12 June). At that time, the flight from Doha at 15:30 will have a 1.35 hour transit to Kuwait and fly to Bhairahawa. The plane is scheduled to land at Gautam Buddha Airport at 1:45 pm Nepali time.

According to Jazeea Airways, fully vaccinated passengers will be able to travel by showing proof of that. Passengers who have not been vaccinated will have to carry a PCR test and a card with a negative report within 72 hours.

There will be three regular flights a week. The flight is scheduled for Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
