Kakani-Suryachaur new trekking route being inagurated

KATHMANDU, Sep 26: On the auspicious occasion of 39th World Tourism Day, Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) organized a hiking program in one of the exciting hiking destination of Nepal Kakani- Shivapuri on 27th September.  They travelled 14km on foot during the hike surrounded by peaceful and fresh environment.

The hiking route was inaugurated by Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. The ministry has been working for discovering new destinations in Nepal. Minister Adhikari said that, if we can properly promote this place properly we can increase the number of tourists in this area.

We can reach kakani after travelling in vehicle for two hours. Accompanied with the chirping of the birds we can reach Shivapuri National Park from Kakani within 3 hrs. Shivapuri National Park was established in 2058 B.S. The park holds the area of around 159 square km in the northern part of Kathmandu Valley and covers the area of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk region.

Past few months this area has been famous as a hiking destination among the adventure lovers where they can observe the beautiful scenario and wildlife’s. This place is very suitable for the Kathmandu dwellers who are seeking peaceful environment in the nearby places.President of Shivapuri National park informed that a budget has been separated for the promotion of this route.
