Kathmandu-Dang Summit Air On-Air

DANG, Jan 08: The air service in Dang-based Tarigaun Airport that was disrupted for long was resumed from Sunday.

Summit Air made its flight from Kathmandu to Tulsipur on Sunday and the flights will be twice a week.

In the first flight, Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, UML leader Prakash Jwala, lawmaker of Dang-3 Hira Chandra KC, Mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City Ghanshyam and others landed as the passengers at Dang airport.

After the landing, the team of Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara was welcomed by the locals.

On the occasion, Mahara pledged to make the air services to Dang regular adding that he was making efforts for the expansion of runway and construction of fuel depot.

Currently, Rs 6,800 air fare has been fixed from Dang to Kathmandu and Rs 7,200 from Kathmandu to Dang. The Summit Air would fly to Dang on every Sunday and Friday in a week.

On a separate context, Mahara said that left alliance's government would be formed after three weeks. He also said that the unification process of the UML and Maoist Centre would not be halted at any cost.
