KTTOAN conducts training for the guides

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: One day long training for tour and trekking guides and assistant guides has been conducted by Korea Tours and Trekking Operator Association Nepal (KTTOAN) in association with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and with the support of Embassy of Republic of Korea, in Kathmandu on Tuesday.


Trainings regarding the Korean etiquette, high altitude sickness, first air and rescue were given to the participants. During the session, Korean envoy Park Young-sik said that the number of Korean tourists visiting Nepal might exceed 37,000 in 2019. Similarly, Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of NTB, said that the training would help ensure the safety of tourists.

Similarly, Amar Bahadur Shahi, president of KTTOAN said,“Tourism promotion activities including B2B sessions and travel fare should be organized in South Korea in effective manner as the Korean market has been growing over the years.”
