BARDIYA, 17 Jan: The southern plains of Nepal are famous for its natural beauty and its apple eye sight but the southern plains of Nepal are only known for its domination and suppression. Because of the political demands raised timely the virginity of the natural sites of Bardiya are still to be broken. Despite the governing bodies blind eye towards the preservation of the Satkharuwa Taal (Lake) the locals here bared the initiation of preserving and promoting the “Satkharuwa Taal”.
“Satkharuwa” which stands for combination of 7 canals in Tharu language carries the potentiality to be enlisted as Wetland as it hosts various migratory birds but is still far from the sight of governing bodies.
“This lake hosts various migratory birds in various season. We are preserving and promoting it in on our own attempt as we failed to drag the attention of the governing bodies. No matter what the consequences we have to face we will preserve the area,” Dharmadatta Dhakal resident of Khaireni-6, Bardiya (Where the lake lies) said.
