Manakamana Cable Car service to be closed from August 8 for upgradation

KATHMANDU, Aug 03: Nepal's first cable car, Manakamana Cable Car, is going to stop its cable car service from 8th August for the purpose of upgrading its operation technology.

The work is going to be done to upgrade the analog connect system to digital system. After this, there will be the first cable car with a digital connect system in Nepal. From Kurintar in Chitwan to the famous religious place of Gorkha Manakamana Mandir, it is going to be upgraded to provide more comfortable and reliable service to the passengers. The upgrading work will be done by Austrian technicians.

The upgrade work will be completed in about five to six weeks, during which the cable car service will be closed, but the restaurant at the base station will remain open.
