Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd contributes 1 million rupees to Tribhuwan Library

GORKHA, Feb 14: Gorkha Municipality Ward No. 6  Manakamana Darshan Private Limited has contributed Rs 1 million rupees to Tribhuvan Library which is being currently renovated.

Nepal’s first Cable car operators Raju Babu Shrestha, Roshan Babu Shrestha and Rajesh Babu Shrestha contributed to the library in memory of late Father Laxman Babu Shrestha.

Tribhuvan Library was the first library established in the district under the active control of Laxman Babu Shrestha in 2008. The Gorkha earthquake caused damage while the library building was without protection.

Following the earthquake, the local residents and the Gorkha Municipality have demolished the old building and new building is being constructed at the same place. The building has already been completed on two floors.

According to the library reconstruction committee, it has been decided to name the ground floor of the building in the name of Laxman Babu Shrestha, who was born in Gorkha and will make a significant contribution at national level.
