Marathon religious fair starts in Nepal’s Doleshwor Temple

BHAKTAPUR, July 17 : The head of India’s Kedarnath which lies in Nepal, the Doleshwor Mahadev temple in Bhaktapur of Nepal now is flocked with pilgrims as marathon fair has started there with the start of religious month of Shrawan.

The fair will run for about 38 days which is expected to collect gross amount of 20 millions including the finance and other valuables. In last years’ fair a gross of 10.66 Millions of rupees got collected in the treasury of the temple. All the collected amounts are now being expended for the construction of various infrastructures and the master plan of the temple.

Over 2 millions pilgrims from India and Nepal are expected to pay visit to the temple in the time duration of about 6 weeks. The fair management committee has made the preparations for the fair and has claimed that the pilgrims will be able to worship within a hour of time after they get into the queue.

Inorder to prevent the encroachment of the queue the organizers has introduced the token system from One to One hundred which they claim will help to maintain the line.
