Mardi Himal Trek: A perfect display of alluring Annapurna Range (Photo Feature)

Mardi Himal trek, is one of the most popular trekking place for Nepali & foreigner people in the Annapurna region. The route was officially opened in 2012. The Mardi Himal High Camp is at an altitude of 3580m and the Mardi Himal base camp is at 4500m from sea level. Once you reach the high camp, you can see a breathtaking view of the whole Annapurna range. The perfect displays of the Annapurna range is alluring. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the sunrise & sunset from the high camp.


The richly diverse terrains of Mardi Himal takes you across the densely forested areas leading to the high rocky mountain trails. Within this short trek route you can observe gurung villages, terraced fields, rhododendron forests, along with extraordinary spectacles of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre peaks. The trek can be completed from 4-7 days depending upon trekkers requirement & route selected for the trek. The common route for this trek starts from Kande (42km approx) but if trekkers have a short time then they can start the trek from Landruk (32km approx).


Trekking to Mardi Himal is possible throughout the whole year, still Autumn & Spring are the most favorable season to trek. Being a shorter & moderate difficulty trek, the trek route is quite busy during the season. There are enough tea houses and guest houses in the entire route but still a chance that you won’t get room during the seasons as per your requirement.
