Marriot to add a new 5 star hotel in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, April 29: Whitefield Marriot an International hotel chain which opened a new hotel in capital Kathmandu which came onto operation last month is set to start a new hotel in Naxal, Kathmandu.

Marriot signed an Interior Finishing contract with Khanna & Sawant Interior Designers from India for new hotel which is under construction in Naxal.

The international chain has claimed that the new “Marriott Kathmandu” is designed to be the best among the existing 5 star hotels in Nepal.

“We have received a great market response for the Fairfield by Marriott, Thamel which opened last month and are very excited to bring to Nepal another luxury hotel by the world’s biggest and best hotel resort company. Marriott Kathmandu will elevate Nepal’s global brand image and attract the luxury segment tourists into Nepal. We will also have Nepal’s largest and most stylish banquet, F&B and fitness facilities,” Mr. Gaurav Agarwal, Managing Director said.

The chain also claimed that the hotel is designed by world renowned Architects, Interior Designers and other international consultants.

“Marriott Kathmandu will have over 200 world class rooms and suites. Among the food and beverage options the hotel will have a 24 hour operational multi cuisine restaurant and a specialty Pan Asian restaurant. The hotel will have big banqueting and meeting facilities.The hotel will also have a infinity pool and a state of are gymnasium and spa,” release from the Marriot states.
