Minister Ale Lays of foundation stone of arrival terminal building of TIA

KATHMANDU, June 12: The foundation stone of the domestic arrival terminal building of Tribhuvan International Airport has been laid. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale laid the foundation stone of the building on Sunday.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stated that the inland terminal building is being constructed as the pressure of domestic air passengers increases.

Minister Ale urged the officials of Bright Multi Construction to complete the construction work ahead of time. The building is targeted to be constructed within a year at a cost of Rs. 50 million.

He said that the proposed internal terminal building would have a VIP room, toilet facilities, passenger seating and seating for people above 60 years of age. Minister Ale also urged them to pay attention to sanitation at the airport.

Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Pradeep Adhikari said that bids have been invited for the construction of a helipad on 32 ropanis of land in Nalinchowk. He said that the construction work of the helipad will be completed within the next fiscal year.

The Rotary Island with the newly constructed Water Foundation has also been inaugurated today according to the expanded room of the storile hall of the internal terminal building of Tribhuvan Airport and the boutique concept.
