Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of Province 3 unveils tourism promotion plans

KATHMANDU, Oct 04: During a program organized on 3rd October at Shangri- La Hotel, Kathmandu, Tourism promotion plans has been unveiled by The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment of Province 3 in order to support Visit Nepal.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the ceremony Mr. Dor Mani Paudel, Chief Minister of Province 3. Honorable Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment of Province 3 Mr. Arun Nepal and Tourism Secretary Mr. Kedar Bahadur Adhikari also attented the program along with high government officials, representatives from Department of Tourism, Nepal Tourism Board, Visit Nepal 2020 and various tourism associations.
President Khum Bahadur Subedi and Secretary Damodar Dhakal on behalf of Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), took part in the program. The plans regarding the increase staying duration of tourists, identifying new destinations and diversifying tourism products were made. The plan also focuses on promoting local culture and homestay, conducting hospitality and guide training, developing promotional materials and tourism maps, appointing brand ambassadors, creating promotional videos, organizing adventure games and street festivals, mobilizing diplomatic agencies and embassies for international promotion etc.
The Ministry has enlisted tourism promotion programs to be organized in coordination with federal government, local government and community, cottage industry, private sector, trade associations and NRN.
