Mishra gets Life Time achievement award from PATA

KATHMANDU, May 21: Basant Raj Mishra, Chairman of Temple Tiger Group and former Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter has been conferred with a Life Time achievement award  by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) for his 25 years of association with PATA and for his contribution in tourism.

During the PATA annual summit 2018 held at Gangnueng, Gangwon Province in the Republic of Korea.

Mishra has served as an Executive Member to Nepal Tourism Board right after it’s initiation and was Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter from 1992 to 1996. This is the highest position a Nepali National has achieved since Nepal joined PATA in 1975.

Founded in1951, PATA is a non-for-profit membership association that acts a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism to from and within the Asia Pacific Region. The association provides aligned advocacy, insightful research and innovative events to its member organizations, comprising 95 governments, state, and city tourism bodies, 25 international airlines and airports, 108 hospitality organizations, 72 educational institutions, and hundreds of travel industry companies in Asia Pacific and beyond, as well as over a hundred young tourism professional members across the world.
