MP Rajiv Pahari offers 2-month-budget for preservation of Fewa Lake

POKHARA, Mar 25: State MP Rajiv Pahari has given 2 months of budget for the protection of the Fewa Lake. In the recent program announcing Lakeside as no vehicle zone, the Parliament has handed over a check of 80 thousand rupees for the next two months to Chief of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan Ward No. 6. Jagat Pahari.
While handing over the check, parliamentarian Pahari showed his concern about the conservation of Fewa Lake. He said that the size of the Fewa Lake was reduced by one third and its depth was reduced from 23 meters to 18 meters and said that no concern from any party for the preservation of the lake.
He said that billions of rupees every year are raised from tourism entrepreneurs, but the government has not played any role for the construction and conservation of Fewa Lake. He has urged the government to allocate a separate budget for the conservation of Fewa Lake.
